As mentioned, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has already been out in players hands in a limited fashion thanks to Infinity Ward releasing the campaign a week early to anyone who pre-ordered the game. It continued the reboot series’ story, following Capt. Price and Task Force 141 as they work to uncover the links between a looming terrorist threat and a powerful Mexican drug cartel. The game also sees the reboot’s campaign debuts for beloved characters John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley alongside newcomers such as Mexican special forces Colonel Alejandro Rojas.

Moretz didn’t appear able to contain her excitement on Twitter about booting up the latest Call of Duty on her newest PC setup, which includes the new RTX 4090 card. She made her intent clear to push the card to its limit out the gate, saying the game will be running at “400 fps at 4K.” She then thanked gaming PC company PowerGPU in a follow-up tweet for the new setup she will be able to enjoy Modern Warfare 2 on.
While celebrities are not as shy about sharing their love of gaming as some had been in the past, Moretz has regularly proven to be among the more outspoken about their fandom. She previously shared her excitement about Modern Warfare 2 during the game’s extremely successful September 2022 beta which Moretz was keen to play, even posting leaderboards from matches she did well in. Moretz didn’t slow down after the MW2 beta, either, and downloaded Destiny 2 at several players’ suggestions.
The one thing some players may caution her about the 4090 is to maybe not run it so hard right out of the gate. As powerful as the new graphics card has been, there have been reports of the card causing varying degrees of damage to PCs because of its power consumption and heat it generates. One of the more recent reports says the RTX card is melting power cables when it is maxed out, something Moretz may want to take into account before booting up Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
