There were certainly positives with the Heat, but there was also a downside to playing with the Rockets, in Bosh’s eyes. He could make $30 million more and function as the unquestioned No.1 option in Miami, minus the pressure and attention he would receive in Houston, he told CBSSports.com’s Ken Berger.

“I could see where people would think that’s an attractive site,” Bosh said. “They were trying to win right away. And I was really happy to be touted that I possibly could’ve been out there. But you know, that doesn’t guarantee anything, and I know that. All that guarantees is a bunch of pressure.”

Bosh experienced life under that microscope for four years, so there is not much fault in settling into a situation. He enjoys life in Miami and plays for a solid team with less pressure to win it all.
