Jericho also said that WWE needs him while AEW could have used him but it doesn’t hurt them at all.
Jericho further talked about Punk’s return and said that he could have gotten five million viewers instead of the 150,000 viewers WWE Backstage received. He also felt that his appearance on the show could lead to more things down the road. He said,
Chris Jericho comments are interesting, to say the least - but like others, he is entitled to his opinion. On the other hand, wrestling fans are quite ecstatic that there is a possibility of CM Punk wrestling again down the road and they will be satisfied (for now) that he is just appearing on a wrestling show in a TV pundit role.
