Chinese Park Hid Leopards Escape From Citizens Before Hunting Them Down With Dogs Police

The privately run Hangzhou Safari Park concealed the escape for nearly three weeks to prevent negative publicity that could have affected its visitor numbers during last week’s May Day holiday, according to an announcement from the Fuyang District government. The park staff had initially denied reports any leopards had escaped, according to The Paper, a state-run online newspaper. It was not until a week after the animals were reportedly first spotted by local residents, and police began a subsequent investigation, that the park notified the public....

It’s perk-planning season. As companies continue their cost-cutting, crowd-pleasing trend toward flexible benefits, workers poring over menus will consider their own lifestyles and family needs, but there’s one other concerned party they should remember: the IRS might be peering over their shoulders as they place their orders. Chiropractic Adjustment Benefits Risks And More

Chiropractic Adjustment Someone dealing with joint pain, back pain, or headaches might consider visiting a chiropractor. One of the reasons people seek chiropractic care is because it is a completely drug-free therapy. The goal of a chiropractic adjustment is to restore normal joint function and muscle balance. Treatments are also promoted for reducing stress on the immune system or reducing the potential for disease—although there is no evidence that chiropractic treatment impacts the immune system or the susceptibility to disease....

Chloe Grace Moretz Stars In This Thrilling Wwii Horror Movie

World War II is often a stodgy setting for a film. It’s the most frequently discussed conflict of all time, both in reality and in fiction, but the most realistic takes on the concept seem primarily fit for someone’s dad. However, if a creator is willing to get away from the grounded historical elements, there’s a lot of tension and endless personal stories to play with. Choosing A Royal Funeral Over The Growing Threat Of War With China Opinion

NPR’s “Up First,” a 12-minute news-update podcast I listen to every day, led off with the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, of which the United States has not been a part for nearly 250 years. It was the 11th day of coverage of the 96-year-old’s death. However you feel about the queen, what was striking was that the lead story wasn’t President Biden’s extended remarks on CBS’s 60 Minutes promising planes in the sky, ships on the sea, and boots on the ground if China attacks Taiwan....

Chow Of The Future

Traditional crossbreeding methods are already used to make corn sweeter and rose more beautiful, but they’re time- and labor-intensive–and leave too much to chance. Using the new technology, scientists plan to reduce plants’ susceptibility to buys and disease–and to improve their taste, nutrition and longevity. A herbicide-resistant gene from the petunia is now being put into the soybean plant. And researchers are even looking at bananas and potatoes that can deliver built-in vaccines for diseases....
